TCP/IP - Transmission control protocol/internet protocol

Protocol - Rules/standards for devices to communicate.

Layers (Networks) - Groups of protocols that have similar functions 

Application Layer - Turning data into website and other applications and vice verse

Transport Layer - Controlling data flow and checking if packets are sent correctly 

Internet Layer - Making connection between networks, directing packets and handling data

Link Layer - Passing and receiving data over the physical network using hardware
