Switch - Connects devices together on a LAN and directs frame of data to the correct device

Router - A device that connects networks.

Server - A device which provides services from other devices (clients) e.g. file storage, web pages, printer access

Wireless access point (WAP) -A piece of hardware that allows devices to connect wirelessly 

Network Interface Card (NIC) - Network interface card/controller is needed to connect to a network

MAC address - A unique identifier assigned to a device that cannot be changed
